The decision
Core Challenge
Reinterpreting a storied house's visual language under new creative leadership without diluting its meaning, while establishing a fresh point of view that feels relevant and commercially viable.
Concepts
Concept Exploration
Immersing the team in the house's archive — past silhouettes, signature motifs and construction techniques — as the foundation for contemporary reinterpretation.
Inside the workflow
Behind The Scenes × MercuriDash

The house's archive is explored — past collections, signature motifs and construction codes that have defined its visual heritage across decades.

The team establishes a brief, setting creative vision and aligning around strategic and commercial objectives — design, marketing, production and merchandising can all input.

Initial designs translate archival references into contemporary silhouettes, with all creative exploration contained within a shared project workspace.

Cross-functional teams review concepts together, with every concept arriving as a recommendation and a reason — brand fit, demand, feasibility and the commercial guardrails, with the brief handled as a conflict check.

Concepts validated against creative alignment and commercial viability, with the strongest designs sent for approval for further development/distribution.

Learnings from the debut collection captured within the project space — to inform future work and make learning persistent despite creative team changes.
Outcomes
Commercial Outcomes
The debut kept its archive voice while three of its most expensive looks were re-engineered before sampling, and every reference used is logged and reversible.
